Men's Life and Style

I’ve had thousands of men in my barber chair over the years. Students, businessmen, artists, athletes, soldiers, politicians, mobsters, missionaries, heads of industry and heads of state. They’ve learned from me and I’ve certainly learned from them. This is the impetus for Guru Barber.

As a third generation barber I’ve been around barbering my whole life. I’ve worked as a barber for 50 years. It’s amazing to me how fast the time went by. I don’t feel old and I don’t think old but it’s time for me to transition from “The American Barber in Prague” into something new, something fresh. Something that encompasses and utilizes my experience and knowledge.

I’ll be your guide to proper mens grooming, barber history and culture. mens interests and lifestyle. I offer life advice gleaned from the diverse cast of characters that have sat in my barber chair or spent time in my barbershop over the past half century.

In the grooming section I attempt to distill 50 years of barbering into a guide for the average guy.

In the advice section I reveal what I’ve learned from the diverse group of men that I have gotten to know over the years. Covering the conversations and topics that affect men.
